Direct Biling
Direct Billing FAQ
What is direct billing?
Direct billing is when healthcare providers submit insurance claims directly to the patient's insurance company, eliminating the need for patients to pay upfront and seek reimbursement later. It streamlines the payment process and allows patients to access their insurance benefits more conveniently.

How do you direct bill?
A practitioner can direct bill by obtaining the patient's insurance information, including policy details and coverage, and submitting the insurance claim directly to the patient's insurance company on their behalf. The practitioner typically has a billing system or software that allows them to process insurance claims electronically. Once the claim is submitted, the insurance company reviews it and provides reimbursement for covered services directly to the practitioner. The patient is responsible for any applicable deductibles, copayments, or fees not covered by their insurance plan.
